A big thank you to all staff, all students at Solvalla and Norrvalla Sports institute and Prakticum, who helped us make this race happen. We also want to thank all our partners ÖtillÖ, Garmin, Head Swimming, Team Laine, Villa Solvalla, Vitamin Well, Nocco and Barebells. But most of all a big thank you to all of you amazing teams who fought your way through the Nuuksio landscapes today! We hope to see you all again next year!

The night before the Day is finally here and we are happy that we will be having 95 teams with us tomorrow! The competition office is about to close now but we will be back in business tomorrow at 08:00. We wish all teams good luck and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

FAQ: When do I need to confirm the participation of my team? Do I have to do it in person? What do I do if I cannot be there on time?
Hello solvalla swimrunners! There have been many questions about the confirmation of participation. The confirmation should preferably be done on site on Friday between 13:00 – 21:30 or on Saturday 08.00-08:50. However, if you are unable to make it during these times you can do the confirmation by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. All teams that make the confirmation per e-mail should be present on Saturday at least 15 min before the race information of their distance begins.

New timing system will be used at Solvalla Swimrun 2017!
Our timing system has developed throughout the years. It has gone from classic manual timing to EMIT and now finally we have taken the next step – Thanks to all of you who have provided us with feedback throughout the years.
We are happy to inform you that Team Laine will be taking care of the timing at Solvalla Swimrun 2017. The timing will happen through timing chips attached to the ankle of the participants. This also means that you will be able to follow the competition online! We look forward to beginning the collaboration with Team Laine

The training session schedule for August has been launched!
Wednesday 9.8 at 18:00 : This session will be focused on swimming. We will start at the beach of lake Kattilajärvi.
Tuesday 15.8 at 18:00: A joint training session with a bit more speed. We will start at the Haukkalampi parking space.
Wednesday 30.8 at 18:00: A more peaceful joint training session. We will start at Solvalla Sports Institute.

We are proud to announce that Solvalla Swimrun has started a partnership with Restaurant Villa Solvalla.
Villa Solvalla will be providing the after race delicious tomato soup and the inclusive dinner for all race participants. The dinner buffet will include two warm dinner options + one warm vegetarian option, salad, bread and coffee or tea. A more detailed menu will be published later. During 16.9 Villa Solvalla will also be open for spectators.
Restaurant Villa Solvalla opens for the public on August 15th 2017 – if you are in the Nuuksio area come and check it out!

Because of the natures everlasting changes in the beautiful Noux National Park, our route also need some minor uppdates. We are also re-routing a bit and adding some new wonderful places for you to enjoy!

4.5.2017 Swimrun Training Events Spring 2017
We arrange training events for everyone who is interested in swimrun at Solvalla Sports Institute. The training sessions will take place during spring and Autumn 2017. The training events are free of charged but require registration in advance. Please contact Track Master Heikki Kiili: email@example.com to book your place (MAX 20 people are allowed / session)
The dates for the Spring sessions are as follows:
- 4.6. Swimrun Season Kick-off event 15:00 – at Kattilajärvi
- Solvalla Swimrun Training Event 7.6.2017 at 18:00, Solvalla Sports Institute
This session is particularly aimed at beginners and those who wish to learn more about the sport. We will go through the gear and do a lower intensity training session in the Solvalla Area.

Solvalla Swimrun will be present at the GoExpo fair in Helsingin Messukeskus 17-19.3.2017 On site will be Race Director Mats Almqvist, Track Dude Heikki Kiili and Race Manager Alexandra Kvist. You will find us on stand 6c40 together with Folkhälsan Utbildning: Solvalla and Norrvalla Sports Institute.

1.3.2017. Solvalla Swimrun will be an ÖtillÖ Merit race during 2017 & 2018!
2017 has brought some changes to the Solvalla Swimrun full race setting. From 2017 and forward ÖtillÖ will no longer have Partner Races, but ÖTILLÖ Merit races, where you collect points towards the ÖTILLÖ Swimrun ranking system
Thus, by participating in Solvalla Swimrun you will score points towards the ÖtillÖ rankingsystem and be competeing for a position in the startup of ÖtillÖ, The Swimrun World Championship 2018. The teams that will be allowed to participate in ÖtillÖ, will be chosen based on their ranking by the end of the year. Only teams with ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Ranking points will be able to participate in the ÖTILLÖ Random Ticket Selection.
Participating in the Solvalla Swimrun Merit Race, also means that you have the opportunity to get an ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Insurance . This insurance allows you to be reimbursed if you cannot attend the race due to medical reasons. As this insurance also functions as an accident and liability insurance, we strongly recommend you to get it.

01.12.2016 Beginning from 2017 Solvalla Swimrun will be an official ÖtillÖ Merit race
In 2014 Solvalla Swimrun started out as a Partner race for ÖtillÖ and we will from 2017 onwards become an ÖtillÖ Merit Race. Solvalla Swimrun has been chosen to become a Merit Race by ÖtillÖ as we represent “the Spirit of Swimrun and and stand out as directional lighthouse in the area.”
From 2017 and forward ÖtillÖ will only have ÖTILLÖ Merit races where you collect points towards the ÖTILLÖ Swimrun ranking system, partner races will no longer exist.Every year ÖtillÖ will select teams to ÖTILLÖ, The Swimrun World Championship based on ranking in the end of the year. Only teams with ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Ranking points will be able to participate in the ÖTILLÖ Random Ticket Selection.
By participating in the Solvalla Swimrun ÖtillÖ Merit Race you will collect points towards the ÖtillÖ ranking system and thereby have a chance to get a ticket to the ÖtillÖ swimrun World Championships! Solvalla Swimrun Sprint & Endurance are not part of the ÖtillÖ Merit race series.
Other ÖtillÖ Merit races are: Stockholm Swimrun, Ångaloppet, Höga kusten Swimrun and Borås Swimrun in Sweden, Rockman Swimrun in Norway, Loch Gu Loch in Scotland, Swimrun Bologna in Italy, Swimrun Costa Brava in Spain, Casco Bay Swimrun in the USA.The more races you participate in the more points you will get!

16.11.2016 Solvalla Swimrun launches a new distance: Solvalla Swimrun Endurance
The Solvalla Swimrun Endurance race is a new race for 2017. This competition form provides an excellent opportunity for those teams who want to step up from the Sprint race to the next level.
The Solvalla Swimrun – Endurance race is approximately 25 km, of which 3,5km is swimming. The race distance may be subjected to change. There are three competition classes in the race: women’s, men’s and mixed.

6.9.2016 Vitamin Well is Solvalla Swimrun’s newest co-operation partner!
Vitamin Well will together with Nocco provide refreshments at the service stops for Solvalla Swimrun Full distance. Every team completing the Sprint or full distance race will also be given a bottle at the end of the race.
